With a rare blend of experience as a grief counselor, funeral director, and chaplain, Joe offers a compassionate, faith-centered approach to guiding individuals and families through the journey of loss and healing.
Having faced significant personal loss at the young ages of 9 and 11, Joe grew up in the shadow of grief. As he encountered further losses in adulthood, he recognized a deep need, not just to process his own pain, but to be equipped to support others in theirs. This realization led him to pursue advanced education and training, developing the tools necessary to walk with people through their most difficult moments.
For nearly 30 years, Joe has provided emotional and spiritual care to those navigating grief, offering presence, understanding, and biblical insight. Grounded in a strong faith and a deep well of compassion, he helps others find hope and peace through what he describes as a “grief theology”—an approach that brings Scripture into meaningful conversation with the realities of sorrow.
Joe’s profound awareness of his own need for Christ birthed the needJesus mission: a calling to share the name of Jesus boldly and walk alongside the brokenhearted. Whether in churches, communities, or places of crisis, Joe and his team carry the hope of Christ into places of pain.
